Rates

For summer, fall and winter lets the minimum is one week. Rates are $1500 with flexibility for longer periods. This is based on 6 person occupancy.

Directions

From Smithers Airport it is about a 15 minute drive to Millar Road. Take the left turn on exit, drive along Highway 16 straight through town and across the Bulkley River Bridge. About three quarters of a a mile further on, second turning on the left is Viewmount Road. Take this and Millar Road is the third turning on the right (past Van Gaalen and Cole Road). 3251 is

the last turning on the right, taking the left fork at the summit.

Car Rental

There is a friendly car rental service called Northwest Truck Rental info@northwesttruckrentals.com . This is run very efficiently by Fred Wilson (cell +1-250-876-8149. Based in town Fred will always meet new clients at the airport so any car or truck hired is available on arrival.

Activities

For general holiday makers Smithers District Chamber of Commerce, situated just off the Highway in the centre of town, will give details of almost all the recreational activities. Their telephone number is

Principal shopping and restaurants can be found on Main Street. For Sushi lovers there is the Blue Fin (250-847-53410) and a grill at the Alpenhorn (which is a popular pub with extensive menu). The Aspen Inn (aspeninn@telus.net 250-847-4551) is the venue of choice for ribs and steaks, and is situated further down the highway towards the airport. La Cantina (next to the railway station 250-847-3363) is also good for those who enjoy Mexican food.

For skiing enthusiasts the ski hill is a short drive from the house.
